Resin was active from 1993 to 2001. They were easily the most important and influential band ever from Rapid City, if not the entire state of South Dakota—possibly rivaled only by the Pee Pee Sandwiches. Resin featured Jack Batchelder, Jason Wade, and some other people. The leading members went on to star in The Utah Jizz and other prominent international acts. Posthumously, Resin was awarded the key to the city by former mayor Jim Shaw.
