The Wax Bananas are a young alternative rock band from the heart of The Black Hills of South Dakota, residing in Spearfish. It all began in 2010, leading up to The Wax Bananas sharing the stage with bands the likes of legendary surf punk band The Queers, Japans jet rock group Guitar Wolf, and many more national acts to be kind enough to make a stop in South Dakota. On the side The Wax Bananas have been recording, what seems to be nonstop, they went into Firestation 7 studios in Rapid City early 2012 to record their first studio project "Tortured Artists," which can be found at Thewaxbananas.bandcamp.com. After wrapping Tortured Artists up, having a very busy summer festival season, and catching the attention of 605 magazine, The Wax Bananas decided to record themselves in Stevens basement, and are working very slowly at perfecting each track they have. So far one single can be found online from the current recording session on our bandcamp page.
